Meet upcoming artist Alonzo

Alonzo is an upcoming artist hailing from the Bay Area, or Oakland California. He also goes by the names Anti Hero and Zo.

He grew up being surrounded by music and has always had a passion for it from an early age. He creates music under the Hip Hop genre with a versatile style. He has a background in spoken word and poetry, acting as a foundation for his rapping skills.

During his high school years he found it a lot easier to market his music. This was due to having the support of his peers at school. His most successful track to date is titled “Money” which was released in 2018. It gained lots of attention around his school district and he traveled to Trinidad and Tobago during summer of 2019 to perform the track.

There are several notable artists whom inspire Alonzo, some of which include Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Nas, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, and Larry June. Most of all he is inspired by the people he sees on a daily basis.

It’s how I communicate, it’s how I get to meet new people and enter into new spaces with new opportunities. It’s a tool for me to potentially help liberate myself, the mindsets my people and community. Music is my way of life and it is in every way my livelihood.
